Shot Detection in Design/Build Phase
A&E firms find shot detection a common requirement for new builds and renovation projects
For the past six years, SDS has been working with the industry’s leading security consultants, design firms and construction companies to provide education about gunshot detection and help their community stay ahead of what clients are asking for.
SDS has seen a major shift in how new business knocks at our door, with Security Specifiers and A&E Firms coming to us with projects where gunshot detection, specifically our Guardian product, is being set forth as a requirement early in the design process.
We attribute this success to our Consultant/A&E Partner Program, where we provide detailed, design-specific documentation as well as training and guidance on how the system works and is installed, to qualified consultants, architects and engineers. We provide this support and education to help raise awareness of this lifesaving technology and help firms stay ahead of the curve, so they can be prepared in advance to respond to requests from clients like yourself during the planning process.
If you have a new building or major renovation project you are planning or are involved in, we invite you to consult with one of our gunshot detection experts. We can help you approach your project team or security consultant to ensure that your new construction is equipped with state of the art, lifesaving security equipment that includes the Guardian Indoor Active Shooter Detection System.
